Last night I was at the Scunthorpe Rock Open (where you can see Milk2Sugars in 2 weeks time) and I came across two absolutely brilliant bands – two of the best unsigned groups I have come across in ages. The first were SUBONYX, a Nada Surf climb the vines Nada Surf will support The Vines on their October and November UK tour. Dates and tickets are available from all the usual online outlets. Friday 23 August 2002 Visit these cracking sites, you know you want to… OK, so everyone’s gone off to Reading and Leeds (I’ll be there on Sunday!) so to tide over the time until everyone returns, check out these three sites. First up is a new site I came across last week at www.rockingthescene.com which has a nice layout and is Weezer go cd in the uk Weezer will perform ‘Keep Fishin’ on CD:UK on August 31, according to www.weezer.com and will also support Guns n’ Roses at the London Arena on August 26. Vandals for October release The Vandals will release ‘Internet Dating Superstuds’ in the UK on October 14, and not in September as other people may tell you. Punktastic has a copy of the new record and it’s darn good.
