I thought they'd nixed the film now? Either way, they need to make more Luther more quickly.

Neil Cross, who writes it, has written some great books as well.

Luther spoiler:

Spoiler: show
I know it is quite fantastical at times anyway, but the relationship with Alice all thought seemingly done well is just really un-imaginable to me at all. I know Luther treads the line very very close as it is - the opener to the first episode proved that, but he flat out knows she is a murderer and yet he is still willing to coax the devil in want of a better term and quite casually at times. I haven't got past episode 4 of season 1 mind so it may still all unravel anyway. I'm not really moaning about the relationship between the two anyway, it is probably the thing that I find so intriguing about the series and why I am enjoying it so much, I just think it is too relaxed and pally at times.

Watched all of the first season of Game of Thrones this week, avoided it because I don't tend to enjoy swords and sandals fantasy stuff but it definitely lived up to the hype. Really exciting/powerful stuff and I can't wait to get started on season 2

Spoiler: show
Sean Bean dies in EVERYTHING he's in. That was in the back of my mind all the way through as I really didn't want it to happen, such a sad death.

Spoiler: show
Definitely the latter, she's a narcissistic bitch, I really despise her character and not in the way I hate Janice as that is out of pure annoyance which is a testament to the writing.

5 minutes of watching X Factor and already they've over done the editing of reactions and the staged conversations are so cringeworthy.

It is more staged than ever. I totally believe the Pink impersonator that flipped out. She wasn't very good anyway, but I bet they told her backstage to sing a Pink song, just to stitch her up. Mel B telling that wee laddy he was irritating was probably the best bit. She's right, it's too contrived and they did overplay his awkwardness before the song.

Has anybody watched Revenge on E4 (or online)? I got totally hooked one weekend and watched 12 episodes, and consequently finished the series in less than a week. Am now re-watching on E4 week by week until season 2 airs in the US in September. I found it pretty gripping, with some good characters, especially Nolan. I couldn't be arsed to go back lots of pages so sorry if this has been discussed already! Definitely one of my fave new shows to appear recently though! Apparently it's taken the US by storm and is the first show to have more viewers than Lost did!

Such a legend. Seems way more chill than on JS. Think he's a bit bewildered by it all. Julie's a massive legend as well.

The Sopranos
Spoiler: show
Finished season two. Blimey. At first I was thinking season one was better but then Christopher got shot and those two annoying frat kids got what they deserved. Richie getting shot by Janice was brilliant. Didn't see it coming and it got rid of my two hated characters in one episode. Brilliant. And poor Pussy. But does this mean that Jimmy wasn't the rat in season one? Or was he a rat too? Also, don't know what it is but I'm getting weirdly attracted to Dr Melfi. Whats everyones favourite season of The Sopranos? Unlike The Wire I've not heard anyone saying that x season is the best one.

From what I understand, both Jimmy and Pussy were rats. It's difficult to mark out one season as the best. Some episodes are undoubtedly stand-outs, but they're fairly well spread out over the series.
