Dan Andriano/Brendan Kelly UK Tour

Postby chrisw » Mon Jun 25, 2012 1:15 pm

I was just going to do brighton but managed to get a last minute ticket for kingston tonight now! (I think there's only 2 more left.) Hope Brendan Kelly is better than when he played solo at Unit during the lawrence arms tour

He was asking people on twitter to bring drugs to the shows, so I wouldn't count on it!

Have been watching some Andriano acoustic stuff online. His Tuesday renditions are spot on.

Kingston last night was absolutely brilliant. So much fun and the choice of songs for both were just impeccable, a really good mix of back catalogue and newer stuff. Had to leave just before Dan's last song because I started feeling shit from the heat. Such a wimp. Can anyone let me know what he played last?

Possibly My Standard Break From Life.

Brendan mixed up the set a lot tonight in Brighton. Highlights were Porno & Snuff Films, Boatless Booze Cruise, Like A Record Player, Ramblin' Boys Of Pleasure and Abracadaver(!!!!!!!)

Any rough ideas of set times? Doors at 6pm in Manchester seems pretty early?

Has Brendan been any good on this tour? Seen Lawrence Arms 3 times, and every time Brendan has been utterly fucked beyond being able to play the required 3 notes on his bass. Don't like the sound of his solo album either.

Yeah this. I think I must just be lucky every time I see him because I saw Lawrence Arms on their last tour and Brendan Kelly twice on this tour and every time it's been great! He's clearly had a few beers but not so smashed he can barely stand like everyone seems to say.
