Seahaven were up next. Their set felt quite short but they sounded awesome. Setlist was:
Balance played next and totally melted my face off. Setlist was something like:
Finally, Pianos fucking killed it. The end.

Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourTravelled to Bristol for this STACKED line up. Had never heard of of Departures but they play a solid brand of melodic hardcore. They seemed really humble to be on this bill, which was nice to see.

Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourBalance were fantastic, setlist was perfect.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourThey didn't play Burden at Hevy either, this deeply saddens me.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourMore excited for this than I have been for a gig in a long while. Hoping Pianos headline so I can shoot off early.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures touri thought balance were headlining this tour, but it seems pianos are now which is good coz they just dont do it for me live. quite enjoy ther cds tho.
gutted balance didnt play defeat the low at hevy and was hoping theyd do it on this tour. oh well
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourtotally different old songs to their 1st tour! applaud the variation.
Cannot wait for ICDTA if they play it friday. Maybe London will get that little bit more like last time too, hoping anyway. bit of 'BANG YOUR FUCKING HEADS' maybe! Suprised to see Seahaven play three 'Ghost' songs considering recent US sets. 'Bottled 'is my favourite song. Excited to see how the WF songs sound live.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourB&C set still needs 'Patience' but that can wait until the next tour, which will hopefully be with some bands that aren't complete toss. I won't hold my breath.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourMissing the Glasgow show as I'm running MXPX tonight.
Hope the show goes well though. Departures have worked pretty hard over the past few years so its good to see them getting recognised with tours like this! Hopefully their hometown show is wicked for them.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tour
so Negi!
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourI thought PBTT were headlining? I'd have to time it perfectly to avoid Seahaven and then leave straight after B&C. Too much faffing for me. Also, not paying £12 for one band.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourIn case anyone was wondering, Balance won't be playing Separation or Patience on this tour. CRYING.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tour
ah, i was going on the poster with them at the top.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tour
Any reason for this? PBTT are headlining but played less time than B&C, like half an hour set. Poor. B&C were so so good again and so were Seahaven. Departures were great too. Very enjoyable, albeit sweaty as fuck gig.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourI spoke to one of the guitarists and asked if they ever played those two songs and he said they're probably the songs they play least. "Maybe on the next tour."
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourB&C headlined in Manchester last night.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourAll bands were great in Sheff last night, enjoyed Nai Harvest too as local support. Seahaven really impressed me
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourPianos were incredible last night. One of my favourite sets I've seen this year. I enjoyed parts of Seahaven but they didn't really look too into it. Balance and Composure were good, but I think I would have preferred Pianos to headline.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourYeah, I'd have preferred a Pianos headline too. Could have left early then. Not into them on record and their whole set sounded like a long, boring 35 minute track.
Departures were really impressive. Their frontman was great and they were a perfect opener. Again, Seahaven didn't seem that into it. Winter Forever is a bit of a slow, sombre record anyway but the material from that album was pretty boring as it lacked any form of punch. The tracks from Ghost sounded great though as they actually had that punch to them but closing on Honey Bee was a poor choice. Balance & Composure were awesome again. They were good at The Peel last year but yesterday blew that show out of the water. Really glad that they still play 'I Can't Do This Alone' and Rope and they're absolutely massive live.
Re: Pianos/Balance/Seahaven/Departures tourWent to Manchester for this and had a real good time. Seahaven ended on Head in the Sand.
B&C playing I Can't Do This Alone made it for me, had Burden been in the set instead of Galena, it would have been the perfect set. Pianos have just been better everytime i've seen them, I don't think their was much of a change in setlist since the Touche Amore tour.
