It's my birthday this weekend, so I'm going to eat three burritos in four days. I'm really excited about this.

Every buritto I've had in Dublin/London really hasn't been a scratch on the one I bought at 3am in LA. Nowhere seems to get the taste or the mix of ingredients right. More black beans, more chicken, more onion, less fucking sour cream. Disappointing.

i cook fro up to 50 people sometimes, the quantities are just silly, you get through things like potatoes so quickly. i don't really like cooking for that many people, i'd rather do some fancy shit for 10 people than a curry or tartiflette for 50.

I help my current employers with outside catering jobs for extra cash, a month ago we did a prime rib roast dinner for 450 farmers. I have never seen so much food in my life - 20 rib roasts all cooked to perfection, with all the sides. Took a good 2 hours for everyone to pass through the 2 buffet lines and the clean up was horrible.

Next weekend I'm doing pulled pork for 20+ people, as part of my leaving party. Found a butcher who does really cheap pork butt, using local organically reared pigs. Being able to feed that many people with a joint that costs $12 is brilliant.

I think the best burrito is from Daddy Donkey on leather lane, however it's a wagon so not sure if it's open at the weekend. If it is go there and go to the craft beer pub also on leather lane.

I'm almost certain it isn't as I looked into going a while ago.

I think I have a voucher for 2 burritos and 2 beers for £9 at some place near Kings Cross called BURRITO CAFE. It'll probably be rubbish but it's cheap enough to justify it anyway

Worst case could always go down to the southbank (waterloo end) where Wahaca have a buritto wagon and experimental kitchen. Although if there just go to the Pitt cue trailer, eat a big ode and have a Brooklyn summer ale.

Went to Pico in Vauxhall last night. Excellent steak. Also strangely looks exactly like a restaurant you'd find in Portugal.

Excellent roast chicken for dinner. Morrisons had an offer on their free range chickens and it was lovely. Covered it in butter, rosemary and thyme and shoved some lemon and onions in the cavity. I roasted it on a vegetable "trivet" and added some booze and stock to make a yummy gravy. It was fab. We had it with "special" roast potatoes, kale, carrots and peas.

I'm in That London in a couple of weeks, and will obviously need to feed my fat face. Is Bodeans still good? Also, I seem to remember one of my London-based friends said something on Facebook about finally getting into some fairly new meat-based place that he (or she, I can't remember who it was) had been waiting to go to for ages, and I think the implication was that it's the best thing ever. But I can't remember where it is. Bit vague, I know...but does it ring any bells?

Having looked at Facebook (got lucky with the first person I checked), it was indeed the latter. The same conversation on the status update also tells me you have to wait for about an hour to get seated, and that Bodeans is no longer great. Bah.
