We've both lived there before but only for uni, and only I lived in a house, which was in headingley. What areas would you recommend?

I didn't notice this before, this is probably a bit late. Having been at uni you'll already know this but Hyde Park is cheap and easy to get to town from but it is full of students. Alternatively areas of Burley are less studenty but can still be cheap and if you get somewhere near Burley Road that's a great bus route. Some bits of Burley are horrible though, the further away from town the better generally, towards Kirkstall, which also might be worth a look. Meanwood's got considerably nicer in the last few years and has good transport into town as far as I'm aware, not sure if you can still get cheap places there but it's probably worth checking out

Right, I've accepted a job in Leeds city centre and will be moving in the next 6 weeks or so. I'm arranging some viewings for places in the centre at the moment, but wondering if anyone can give me some advise on areas around the city?

I've already been recommended Chapel Allerton so far. I'm not a student and don't particularly want to live like one, so any good areas around the city with decent public transport routes would be ideal!

I'm not too sure about budget at the moment so any rough guides would be much appreciated.

This'll basically be the same as my previous posts but Chapel Allerton, Meanwood, Headingley and Kirkstall are all probably worth a look if you can't find anywhere reasonable in the city centre

I've just moved from Headingley to Meanwood and the difference is incredible. I never thought I'd notice the lack of students living in the area but it's just so much more peaceful.

I'd say your best bet is etap to be honest if you're looking for cheap.
