Strange Blackberry Questionn

Bit of an odd one but I don't have a Blackberry and can't find an answer online.

If you set a BBM profile picture using a photo you've taken on your Blackberry is that stored externally or does it just use the picture on your phone?

I.e. If someone took a photo, set it as their BBM picture and then deleted the picture from their phone would they be able to still use that picture as their BBM profile picture regardless of it being deleted?

Regardless of where it actually stores the profile picture, I'm sure it's separate to the original image. EG if you set your profile pic and then delete the original from your bb i'm sure the profile pic remains in place. Always did on my Bold.

A pupil took a picture of someone else in the class without their permission and set it as their BBM profile picture to wind them up. I got the phone and made them delete the picture but it was only over the weekend that it dawned on me that it may have uploaded the picture somewhere, like a Facebook profile would.

It's all sorted now though.

never had these problems when i was at school, all this cyber bullying it's a whole new world. when i were a lad we just had the odd beating and the occasional rape to worry about. it was a much more innocent time.
