So spoke to the gf on skype last night for a long time and discussed current situation.
It appears that the break she was suggesting was more out ot panic of our future than a chance to sleep with a 'hot french dude' she is just stressi g that i live in lndn and shell soon be starting a degree up north and ill be working down. I have no qualms she loves me but i think shes freqking out that we wont have much time to see each other if i end uo working in london

no, didn't want the girl, too much age/distance/experience gap. the trouble is she liked me. that doesn't happen very often. not people liking me, i think i'm friendly and quite likeable but i'm not the most attractive bloke so shouldn't go passing on opportunities when they present themselves

What's not to get? Girl he doesn't want to like likes him. He finds it weird that a girl would like him despite thinking of himself as being likeable and now regrets passing up an opportunity to be with a girl who he didn't want liking him in the first place.
