I'm really enjoying this. Particularly loving how close it all is. I think a couple of weeks have shown that it is still anyone's game. I've done prediction leagues in the past where some people seem to have mind-blowing insight into predicting scores and the race is already won by now.

We did an overly complicated one at work a couple of seasons ago where you started with 10 points per game and then removed a point for each goal away from the correct score you were (I'm not even going to pretend that I ever understood how it actually worked, but it was something like that). What it meant though was that you could predict 2-1 and if the result was 3-1 then you'd get more points than someone who had predicted 2-0, despite both results being correct, because you'd got the away score right. It's left me with a legacy of looking out for the scores and getting excited when realising I'd got one of them right in the result before realising that it doesn't matter anymore.

We did have a runaway leader one year but apart from that it's always been reasonably close which is good. I'm delighted with how it's going this season, this time last year I was about 25 points off the lead

That system sounds mental. I really like this way of doing it, seems to work really well
