Thoroughly enjoyable film even if the ending was a tad predictable.

Watched Godard's '67 flick Two of Three Things I Know About Her, about women that turn to whoring to afford all their consumerables. Very poignant, and definitely worth a look.

Any other Godard fans around, out of curiosity?

Saw Chronicle tonight and enjoyed the hell out of it. Much like the first time I saw Cloverfield, it was just a great overall fun cinema going experience.

La Confidential

Watched this last week for the first time, it was always something id wanted to see for years but never got round to it. I loved every second, i actually enjoyed Russell Crowe for once but Guy Pearce makes the film though.

The Grey

Thought this was fantastic, it wasnt trying to be a trashy horror film or a cheesey action movie. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

Darkman

I thought i would enjoy Liam Neeson in just about every film but this is 90 minutes of my life im never going to get back

Tinker Tailor...

Couldnt say a bad word about it, every single member of the cast gives an amazing perfomance. I really hope it gives Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberpatch and even bigger push as they really are brilliant actors

I watched this last night. It was excellent, I really liked how it was filmed and some of the main kid's lines were great.

I saw it on Monday, it's the cool thing to do at the moment apparently! Not sure what people were expecting of the end for it not to be predictable. A gun battle wouldn't have seemed very apt. I very much enjoyed the viewing. It was doing my head in trying to remember what the mum had been in (if anything) which I've just been reminded of so I'll IMDB the shit out of that.

Last night I saw the Descendants. Weridest feel good film ever! I liked the part with George Clooney the best.

Can't believe you enjoyed The Grey, one of the worst films I've ever fucking seen.

I like Gary Oldman, but come on there's no way his performance in TTSS is Oscar-worthy.

Referring to my appreciation of Saving Private Ryan I assume. Would hardly compare those two films really.

Y'see I've heard such mixed reviews of both. So i'm kind of intrigued in a way.
I really dislike Owen Wilson though.

If you're married, the central theme of Hallpass is incredible because given a week break from marriage I too would completely ignore women and just eat out at my favourite places and get drunk every night. Everything else about that film is shit.

The funny thing is I actually quite like Saving Private Ryan, I just couldn't resist. Also, whilst I haven't seen every award contender this year I take exception to the idea Gary Oldman's performance doesn't belong in that company; he's so brilliantly understated and conveys more with an eyebrow raise or sideways glance than most actors could with a ten minute monologue. I also thought Tinker, Tailor improved HUGELY with a second viewing, the plot wasn't anywhere near as daunting and I could just relax and enjoy it unfolding.

Watched Oldboy last night, which I enjoyed a lot more the second time around. The corridor fight was stunning. Looking forward to seeing how Hollywood deals with the ending in the remake. :insane:

I dont care who is directing. Hollywood needs to stay away from Korean Films.
