I dunno, it's difficult to compare Arsenal winning the league at Anfield and City winning it last season. Even as a United fan, it was definitely the most thrilling title race I can remember. The City game was awful to watch, but it was quite a turn of events. United were essentially champions when full time blew at the Stadium of Light, only for City to win it with what was essentially the last kick of the game a couple of minutes later. I think everyone expected City to pummel QPR, but they went 2-1 up and then parked the bus. It was a huge defecit to turn over. I can't think of any trophy that was won and lost with the last kick of the game. It was compared to the CL final in 99, but even that wasn't lost with the last kick. If United hadn't have gotten a second goal, it would have gone to extra time, so it wasn't completely over. Aguero's goal proved to be arguably the most important goal of the season. It was gutting, but I can't remember any season ending in such a way.

Sure, it's entirely subjective and I'm also biased as I said - it's certainly not even an even that's properly in my memory. I was 6 and vaguely remember everyone going mental as my family were all together listening to the radio.

It just seems at least comparable if not more of a challenge. It might not have been the last kick of the game but it was within about 20 seconds.

I didn't realise the winning Arsenal goal was so late on. Certainly comparable then. Aguero's goal wasn't technically the last kick either, but all that followed was QPR kicking off, hoofing it to Joe Hart and Joe Hart seeing out the next few seconds before full time. It was the last kick that had any sort of purpose, I suppose, and it was full time less than 10 seconds later.

I imagine the excitement is certainly subjective depending on if you have any significant vested interested in the result, though both were quite extraordinary for the neutral as well.

Last seasons end was amazing mainly due to the look on the United players/fans face when the news of the winner came in, Phil Jones face in particular.

Phil Jones' face, on any occasion, is quite a spectacle. What an unfathomable mug he's got.

I still think it's difficult to decide which was bigger. Obviously subjective, as has been said. This seasons climax was major as it was City's first title in the Premier League era, toppling United who have dominated the Premier League era. They looked like they had thrown it away on a few occasions too, especially after the Arteta goal at Arsenal, and then falling behind to QPR in that game.

Beating Liverpool on their own turf in their era of dominance is massive too. Then again, I was only 4, I think, when that happened so I wasn't really there to witness the excitement, which is a shame, as I love it when Liverpool get beaten. In my memory of football, City winning it last season was definitely the most exciting title race I've witnessed, as horrible as it was. I watched it in a pub with a surprising amount of Scottish people in City shirts. Weird.

The most annoying thing about all the general "most exciting" shite etc was this season and how they were saying it was the best end to a season *ever*. It might have been the best end to a premiership season, and I'm probably biased, but I think having to go to Anfield on the last day of the season and have to win by two clear goals against favourites Liverpool to win the league instead of them, and managing that in the last minute of the game was probably a bit more exciting than beating already relegated QPR at home.

Personally think the Arsenal 89 just shaded City 12 as the more impressive feat. Both titles came down to the last game of the season, though Arsenal had the stronger opponent (the league leadets no less) and a win alone wasn't enough to win the title (needed 2 clear goals to win). Both had comparable last gasp goals, so would say the viewing experience/excitement was on par, the feat slightly different. Am an Arsenal fan mind!

Ah yes I was trying to remember some of the best bits and the parts about his time at Palace is superb. Such an insight.

First division clubs Hamilton, Morton, Dunfermline, Falkirk, and 2 others I can't remember have said that won't vote to parachute NewCo into the First Division. They were also critical of the letter and using league reform as a bargaining tool. Which I can't agree with enough, fair play to them. None of them have ruled out voting NewCo into Div 3 and I could see them getting that as they're good candidates. Though there are other clubs such as Spartans that have been waiting in line for longer. League reform should still go ahead to partially remedy this.
