I know I'll still watch seasons 5 and 6. Wont be able to stop myself.

Its funny when you watch something quite intensely. Today I saw some tree trimmers and had a damn good look at them and was disappointed they didnt look like murderers

YES. Paul Kaye is such a great bloke.

Not forgetting Mackenzie Crook! Had to happen eventually. Oh and is the frizzy haired girl in the new cast video the check from Hollyoaks? Sasha I think her name was.

yeah, they've announced loads more now, there's spoilers for people that haven't read the books, http://www.westeros.org/GoT/News/Entry/A_Look_at_the_New_Cast/. and yeah, she was sasha.

i thought that crook would be quite good as vargo, oh well.

it's completely understandable, but really annoying that they're splitting the book up into 2 series, mostly because it means it'll be two years until certain stuff happens.

A Storm of Swords is a big book though and lots of big events happen to major characters in the show. Don't read the spoiler if you haven't read the book. But I imagine that'll split it up nicely.
Spoiler: show
Have the Red Wedding in season 3. Then come season 4, have the death of Joffrey/Tywin.

yeah, that's what i meant really, the books i've got are split into two so it's understandable that the tv series will be. it's just really annoying having to wait so long. i suppose if they space it out, there's more chance of the book series finishing before the tv series. i really don't want the end of the books being spoiled by the tv programme, but it's almost certainly going to be.

Dexter Season 6 was great, the mid season twist was pretty good, and the finale was ace. Season 5 was a bit toss, but it did have Johnny Lee Miller so....

Watched season 1 of Six Feet Under, it's great! Bracing how honest it seems.

The twist was pretty obvious though, so the reveal didn't have as much impact as I was expecting it to. Colin Hanks was great in it though.

Both 5 and 6 are okay, I think they suffer because season 4 was so good that these seasons were never going to match expectation.

I'm doing the same, I just watched the first episode of season 2 last night.

if he dies without things being resolved then i'm probably going to kill myself. there are so many things left open or prophesied that need proper answers.

I don't think HBO will ever drop it due to money reasons though, I'm sure it makes them a fortune otherwise they wouldn't be steam rolling into season 3 with such glee.

If the series slows down due to catching up with the books they would put it on hiatus I would of thought, could be tricky with cast though, they surely wouldn't be able to keep all of them.

It must be me. I am finding season 4 nowhere near as good as 1,2 and 3. I'm on episode 8 of season 4 and I dont get all the hype over Trinity. Ice truck killer was better.

But then I loved every season of Lost and the ending.

Hasn't he told the guys making the TV show how it all ends so if he dies before finishing the last book then we'll still get an ending at least.

My housemate has read the first 3 books in just under two weeks. I should probably make a start on them

Trinity is mint. Lithgow is mint. The end of Lost was a good end to season six, but a shit end to Lost.

people grossly overestimate season 4. the last half of it far outweighs how boring the first half of it is. the last half is immense. first half is meandering.

Am I the only person who has got to the end of season 2 of Game of Thrones and still doesn't know half the characters names? (I haven't read the books).

Maybe I need to pay more attention to it...

No. I had that problem too. I had a hard time discussing it with my kid over MSN because of this. And if I did know the name...I couldnt spell it.

(And it was episode 9 of Dexter I just watched)

It's such a mint end to the season! My mind was blown, and I was kicking myself that I didn't see it coming. Brilliant stuff.
