2000trees announce headliners Alkaline Trio and McClusky

By Ben Tipple

2000trees Festival organisers have confirmed Alkaline Trio as this year’s Main Stage headliner on Saturday 11th July.

Led by Matt Skiba, Alkaline Trio will join previously confirmed headliners Deaf Havana and The Subways.

They will be joined by McClusky, who will headline The Cave on the same day. Also joining the bill are Future Of The Left, Benjamin Brooker, VENNART (previously Oceansize) and Hacktivist.

“To say we’re delighted is a massive understatement, because for many rock fans Alkaline Trio defined a summer with their album ‘From here to Infirmary’ and songs like ‘Private Eye’ and ‘Stupid Kid’ are pop-punk anthems known the world over,” says organiser Andy Rea.

“In fact we’re proud of the outright brilliance of all the acts across our line-up and it is undoubtedly the best we’ve ever had in terms of diversity across six stages, from internationally famous names to local heroes.”

2000trees festival will take place from the 9th until the 11th July 2015 at Upcote Farm in Gloucestershire. Full details and tickets can be found via the official website.
