AC/DC drummer on drugs and murder plotting charges

By Ben Tipple

Phil Rudd, the drummer of Australian rock titans AC/DC, has appeared in court on charges of attempting to arrange a murder alongside a string of drug offences including possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.

Rudd entered no plea, and is now on bail under the condition that he does not communicate with anyone associated with the murder plot.

Court will reconvene on the 27th November, with local media reporting that the plot targeted two men, according to the BBC report.

Speculation over Rudd’s future in the band, who are set to release ‘Rock Or Bust’ on the 1st December, has been rife for some time following his notable absence from band photos and videos in the record’s build up.

UPDATE: The attempting to arrange a murder charges have since been dropped.
