Alkaline Trio’s Derek Grant to release album

Alkaline Trio drummer Derek Grant is to release a solo album called ‘Break Down’.

He is streaming the lead single, ‘Love is a Bad Dream’ ahead of the album’s December release.

‘Break Down’ is Grant’s first solo material since 2009’s ‘The Purple Trilogy’ – a three-track electro-funk EP featuring a cover of Prince’s ‘Electric Intercourse’.

Alkaline Trio play three four-night residencies at West Hollywood’s Troubador, Chicago’s Metro, and the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn this October.
