Anna von Hausswolff streams 10 minute doom opera

By Ben Tipple

With it’s atmospherics opening leading the listener into a false sense of security, ‘Come Wander With Me/Deliverance’ – the new ten minute opus by Swedish singer Anna von Hausswolff – quickly descends into a claustrophobic and heavy doom.

The stunning track will appear on Hausswolff’s follow up to 2012’s ‘Ceremony’. ‘The Miraculous’ will be available from the 13th November 2015 via City Slang.

Anna von Hausswolff has already celebrated appearances at a range of unusual venues, including Lincoln Cathedral, as well as providing her haunting vocals to the Royal Swedish Opera House’s ballet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. On ‘Come Wander With Me/Deliverance’, Hausswolff showcases her thunderous darker side.

The singer will appear at the Royal Festival Hall on Southbank this Friday (21st August 2015) as part of David Byrne’s Meltdown.

‘The Miraculous’ is available to pre-order now.
