Anti-Flag sign to Spinefarm Records for new album

Anti-Flag have signed to Spinefarm Records for the release of their new album, ‘American Spring’, in May. Their tenth full-length follows 2012’s ‘The General Strike’.

Tim Armstrong and Tom Morello are set to appear on the politically charged record, guesting on ‘Brandenburg Gate’ and ‘Without End’ respectively.

“We are excited to announce that our tenth full-length record will be released on Spinefarm Records this spring,” the band revealed. “There is no shortage of fodder for a new record of commentary on the social and political climate in 2015: endless wars, the new Jim Crow and American injustice, corprotocracy, environmental coup d’état, the surveillance state, loss, grief and anxiety. We hope that these songs can grant us solace in a seemingly hopeless era.”

“It has been frustrating to see much punk rock music —and music in general— quiet in the face of so many atrocities that are taking place around the world. This record is not quiet. If you are disillusioned with the status quo, these songs are for you. The American Spring is now.”

To celebrate the announcement, Anti-Flag will be playing ‘The Terror State’ in its entirety in Charlotte, N.C. on the 19th January. The show will be streamed live as part of the Yahoo concert series. It will begin at 9:45ET.

Anti-Flag will return to the UK for Rebellion Festival in Blackpool from the 6th to the 9th August 2015.
