Blacklisters signed to Smalltown America for second album

By Ben Tipple

Leeds based noise-rockers Blacklisters have signed a deal with Smalltown America for the release of their sophomore record. ‘Adult’, their follow-up to 2012’s brilliant ‘BLKLSTRS’, has been recorded at Suburban Home Studios by Matt Johnson of Hookworms.

“We are delighted and humbled to announce that Blacklisters are joining the Smalltown America family,” the label announced. “Over the past few years, the Leeds quartet have deservedly earned their reputation as one of the UK’s most confrontational and aggressive live acts. We are thrilled to welcome them to the label. Forthcoming record ‘Adult’ is a typically uncompromising affair, riddled with the band’s trademark, dark humour. The album will be available this Autumn on all formats via our eStore.”

The band will be playing two shows this month to celebrate the announcement.
