Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem) reveals solo album

By Ben Tipple

Following their disbandment, former The Gaslight Anthem vocalist and guitarist Brian Fallon has revealed details for his debut solo release.

‘Painkillers’ is set for a tentative early 2016 release via Island Records in the United States and Virgin/ EMI in the United Kingdom.

“I’m overjoyed to be making this solo record,” says Fallon. “And I can’t wait to go out on the road with the new songs I have as well as to get to play the Elsie album live again!”

Scheduled to be recorded later in the year in Nashville, TN, by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Frank Turner, Keith Urban), ‘Painkillers’ marks the first solo release by Fallon, who has played in The Gaslight Anthem, The Horrible Crowes and Molly & The Zombies.

Fallon will take the show on the road across the US in January 2016, joined by The Gaslight Anthem guitarist Alex Rosamilia, The Horrible Crowesโ€™ Ian Perkins and Molly & The Zombies bassist Catherine Popper, among others.
