Bring Me The Horizon sign to Columbia Records

By Ben Tipple

With online chatter surrounding the stylistic future of Bring Me The Horizon emerging following the release of their latest track, ‘Happy Song’, earlier this week, news that the alternative five-piece have signed to Columbia Records in the US may only serve to intensify discussion.

Confirmed via Alternative Press citing a Columbia representative, the move from Epitaph Records – who have overseen the release of their previous three LPs – sees Bring Me The Horizon join the so-called major label who also celebrate the likes of System Of A Down and One Direction on their roster.

‘Happy Song’ has caused some controversy by further removing itself from their heavier origins. What the signing means for the band’s style remains to be seen, with things certainly changing in the Bring Me The Horizon camp.

Bring Me The Horizon have been working alongside Sony in the United Kingdom since 2012.
