Cancer Bats reveal full details of new album

By Ben Tipple

In a hat-rick of announcements, Cancer Bats have followed up the release of their lyric video and tour announcement alongside While She Sleeps with full details of their new record, ‘Searching For Zero’. The record marks the Canadian metal-hardcore hybid’s fifth studio album, following 2012’s ‘Dead Set On Living’.

The record will be released on the 9th March 2015 via NOISE CHURCH RECORDS and BMG RIGHTS, the latter of which recently welcome Cancer Bats to their roster. Album pre-orders come complete with an instant download of ‘Arsenic In The Year Of The Snake’, while the iTunes version features bonus track, ‘Rust and Bone’.

The Ross Robinson produced record promises to be both the most melodic yet brutal Cancer Bats record, building upon the band’s love of Black Sabbath with more raw thrash inspired sounds.

“We were coming out of what was a really heavy year for all of us, with a lot of challenges, non-stop touring and the deaths of people really close to the band. With all of these things we’ve had to deal with this past year, we were all at the point of saying “No More Bullshit”, we’ve dealt with everything, nothing is standing in our way,” explains frontman Liam Cormier. “We’ve found our absolute zero, where there can no longer be a negative, and from that point, everything moving forward can only be positive. There are real reasons we do this. We love being in this band, and we love the people that we’re lucky enough to share this with.”
