Cytota change name to Shvpes

By Ben Tipple

Cytota are the latest band to join the upside down ‘A’ faction, changing their names to Shvpes.

The name change, sparked by their recent single of the same name, marks a new chapter in the band’s career.

“The short time I toured with Cytota was great, but with our new dynamic, it became clear to us all that the name had reached the end of its chapter,” new vocalist Griffin Dickinson explains. “SHVPES represents the start of a new era for this band and I’m immensely excited to be a part of it.”

Shvpes will debut their new moniker on tour with 36 Crazyfists in February, before a string of shows with Fightstar at the end of that month.
