Defeater announce Banquet Records in-store

By Ben Tipple

Defeater have announced a special acoustic in-store at Banquet Records in Kingston (UK) on the 8th November 2015.

The all-ages show, to celebrate the release of their new ‘Abandoned’ LP, will be free of charge.

More information is available via the Banquet Records website.

Concept album ‘Abandoned’ tells the story Catholic priest who finds strength and weakness during the war. Vocalist Derek Archambault drew influence from his recent life-altering hip surgery.

Archambault is keen to stress that ‘Abandoned’ is not a simple anti-religion stance. “This is my ending metaphor for life—it’s about how people constantly look for answers for their questions in all the wrong places,” he explains.

‘Abandoned’ is streaming in full now, with official release set for the 28th August 2015.
