Night Birds announce ‘Mutiny At Muscle Beach’ LP

By Ben Tipple

Surf inspired hardcore outfit Night Birds will be releasing their third full-length via Fat Wreck Chords. The album, entitled ‘Mutiny At Muscle Beach’, will be available from the 2nd October 2015.

“This Spring we went back to Seaside Lounge Studios in Brooklyn, NY with Mitch Rackin at the helm, and seasoned punk rock recording vet, Chris Pierce, producing,” singer Brian Gorsegner says of the record. “This record is also the debut of our new drummer Darick Sater crushing behind the kit.”

“The 2+ years we worked on this album were coincidentally my most sleep deprived / over caffeinated period of life,” Gorsegner admits. “While thatโ€™s a combination that works like a charm in a pinch, over enough time leaves you feeling anxious, jittery, on edge, and in a general ‘set-to-destroy’ state of being. I feel like those emotions are proudly displayed all over this record.”

Night Birds unveiled ‘Left In The Middle’ earlier this month, taken from both ‘Mutiny At Muscle Beach’, as well as the forthcoming ‘Going Nowhere Fat’ Fat Wreck Chords compilation.

The full-length will also be available on cassette; the first for Fat Wreck Chords this century. Full details are available via the Fat Wreck Chords website.
