Pharaohs split

By Tom Connick

Indie-pop (with a sprinkling of math rock) lads Pharaohs have called it a day. In a lengthy post on their Facebook wall the group do not draw a final line under proceedings but assure that, for now, they are done.

“Dear fans, friends and onlookers,
Sadly Pharaohs has come to an end. Due to the increasing difficulty of all being able to get into one room and to put 100% into the band, we have collectively decided to call it a day.
We have had some amazing experiences and achieved far more than we ever set out to do. To release 2 albums, various singles and tour the UK, Europe and Japan really was a dream we never thought we would play out.
Weโ€™re forever grateful to anyone who bought or even downloaded any of our music and the fact that people are aware of Pharaohs around the world is once again a success we never planned.
As some of you may know, we had written around 20 songs for a new record, however due to lack of funds, time and our inability to fully finish the demo process, we were unfortunately not able to get this finished. We had high hopes for this album and its potential success, but due to other commitments, we have had to call it a day.
There are no final shows planned due to members being currently out of the country, however, we are all still good friends and have not drawn a line under final shows or future music, if the conditions play into our hands.
We will leave you with our last single โ€˜Workโ€™ and once again, thanks for all the support over the years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdsAfbage9M
