Pop-punks Layby announce new vocalist

By Ben Tipple

Nottingham pop-punks Layby have announced the acquisition of new vocalist, Miles Kent. The announcement comes after the departure of former vocalist Aaron John Bowes, who parted ways amicably in the New Year to start a family.

“t’s been a whirlwind over at Layby HQ recently,” the band announced on Facebook. “Aaron has received the greatest news he could have wished for and is finally starting a family with his partner and we couldn’t be happier for him! However with this, it means that Aaron has had to depart the band. We owe a lot to Aaron for his work towards our EP, ‘Life’s Great Illusions’, and we will all surely miss him. It’s not all NEGI though as we’re not a Finnish Black Death metal band, we have some POSI AS F*CK news…”

“We’re excited to welcome Miles Kent into the Layby posse and we can’t wait to see where we go together. The EP is scheduled for release April 20th. We will be revealing more details soon.
We wish Aaron the best with his family life and his future musical endeavours, and there is no bad blood between us, and it was very much a mutual decision.”

Layby will be returning with new material in the very near future, and have confirmed that a new EP is on the cards.
