Punch vocalist quits

By Richard Craig

Meghan O’ Neil, voice of Bay Area hardcore punks Punch has left the band. She announced her departure in a message on Facebook.

“Punch crew- I want to confirm that I, Meghan, have left Punch. Thank you all so much for your support over the years. For most of my life I have been extremely shy,ย and writing lyrics and performing really helped me grow as a person. Thank you to anyone who ever told me what our band and my lyrics meant to you, you all mean so much to me. Thank you.”

There is no word yet on whether the band are carrying on without her or if Meghan is moving onto other musical projects.

Punch just released their third LP, ‘They Don’t Have to Believe’

Here’s a video of Punch playing The Fest in 2011 dressed as Ghostbusters and Slimer.

“Just because something ended, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen”.
