Punk supergroup Great Collapse announce debut album

By Ben Tipple

Founded by Thomas Barnett of Strike Anywhere following his move to the west coast, Great Collapse originally featured former Rise Against guitarist Chris Chasse, Joe Saucedo of Set Your Goals, and drummer Kyle Profeta of Comeback Kid. Having released to self-produced ‘Elemental’ EP, the band also since picked up Tom Arnott and Death By Stereo drummer Todd Henning to replace Profeta.

Now set to release their debut full-length on the 2nd October via End Hits Records, Great Collapse how unveiled the first track to be taken from ‘Holy War’.

“This Song Is The First Chapter Of This Record, And Pushes Fast Past The Myths We Are Poisoned With About The Inevitability Of Violence, The Schadenfreude and RealPolitik of Hollow Leaders, Whispers and Documents Giving Away Love and Life On This Blue Planet,” provides Thomas Barnett of ‘New Abolition’, complete with capital letters. “This Is Our Contribution, Our Small Peace Punk Bullet Aimed Between Our Heartbeats, Into The Belly Of This Monster That The Stories Of Powerless History Builds On The Backs Of Our Lives. These Humans, Animals, and Breathing Landscapes Are Not Our Enemy. We Build This Road By Walking On It. No Matter How Many Steps Or Lifetimes It May Take. New Abolition Is Only The Beginning.”
