The Blackout announce UK tour and EP details

By Ben Tipple

The Blackout will be touring the UK in November with support from Chiodos and When We Were Wolves.

The tour will follow the release of their ‘Wolves’ EP, due on the 27th October 2014, and funded entirely through a Kickstarter project which reached its target in just 3 hours. Both the tour and the EP mark the overcoming of a difficult year by the band, including Gavin Butler’s sudden illness whilst on tour.

‘Wolves’ was “born from the previous, frustrating year” says Gavin Butler. “It took a lot of determination and sacrifice to pick ourselves up and carry on with The Blackout. The main reason this happened was our vision for ‘Wolves’. Writing these songs not only gave us a way to vent our frustrations but gave us a fresh fervor for making music and the much needed awakening to the fact that we all love being a band. So we thought, lets just take back control.”

Tickets for the UK tour go on sale from the 20th August 2014.
