The Blackout launch ‘Wolves’ Kickstarter

By Ben Tipple

Welsh rockers The Blackout are set to release their ‘Wolves’ EP in the Autumn via a Kickstarter campaign. It follows the band’s departure from their label and management, and a postponed tour due to singer Gavin Butler’s sudden deterioration in health.

The band have described the sound on their new EP as “aggressive, loud riffs with massive choruses,” going on to explain that their campaign is not exploitative, but rather a necessity in order to continue to release music.

“We called on the trust and dedication of our fans to help get our album ‘Hope’ made. Without them it would not of happened. Just like then, without the fans, ‘Wolves’, won’t see the light of day,” Butler stated when speaking of their previous Pledge campaign.

UPDATE: The Blackout had already hit their target at the time of posting this. Crazy!
