Whirr and Nothing announce long awaited split 12″

By Glen Bushell

Run For Cover records have finally announced details of the long awaited split 12″ from Whirr and Nothing. The two bands have a close relationship after sharing many tours (and members) together, and are the leading lights in the boom of shoegaze/alt-rock bands dominating the underground lately. The record will feature 2 new songs from each band, with the physical release including an almost hour long documentary detailing the recording of the split at Studio 4 with producer Will Yip. The split is available Β to pre-order from Run For Cover Records now.

In addition to the split announcement, Nothing have also unveiled one of their contributions to the split. The crushing new track ‘July The Fourth’ is the first new material since they released their debut full-length ‘Guilty Of Everything’ earlier this year, and you can hear the track below.
