First play of the new Lacey track, ‘The Last Time’

By Ben Tipple

Nottingham based pop-rockers Lacey are currently gearing up to the ever-impending release of their debut full-length, ‘Under The Brightest Lights’. Drawing influence from pop-rock stalwarts such as Kids In Glass Houses and The Blackout, on album track ‘The Last Time’, they perhaps more closely resemble Deaf Havana’s songwriting prowess. All the while, their sound is underpinned by pop-punk influences, particularly as the emotive verses give way to the anthemic chorus.

Their melodies have already seen them tour alongside Patent Pending, the aforementioned The Blackout, and People On Vacation. They have also secured Lacey slots at Hit The Deck Festival, and saw them enter the final stages of the Red Bull Studios Competition back in 2013.

‘Under The Brightest Lights’ will be available from the 20th April 2015, and is available to pre-order now. Check out the exclusive stream of ‘The Last Time’ (including some band footage) via the YouTube player below.
