It’s all about the big sounds on the new Witterquick track

By Ben Tipple

“We’re not modelling ourselves on anyone, we don’t want to be like anyone else, if you aren’t doing your own thing, what’s the point?” So says Witterquick bassist and backing vocalist Ollie Chanter.

The result of this individuality blends the massive choruses of Lonely The Brave with emo tinged minimalism and a healthy dose of pop-rock. For the release of Witterquick’s debut EP, ‘Beneath The Spinning Lights’, the five piece have enlisted the expertise of producer Romesh Dodangoda to bring the accessible atmospherics to the forefront.

Masted at Abbey Road Studios, lead single ‘Soldiers’ showcases their combination of styles perfectly. The full EP is scheduled for release in early 2016, with the track available from the 30th October 2015.
