Join Veto. on tour via their ‘Red Granite’ video

By Ben Tipple

For emo tinged rockers Veto., ‘Red Granite’ is a state of mind. “[It’s] all about spending time with foreign friends and floating about in a quarry over in America named ‘Red Granite’, but it’s also about accepting that these amazing relationships are lived in short bursts that always seems to end just as you settle into a new routine,” band member Lewis explains.

With that in mind, the video depicts scenes from their recent tour alongside Brighton singer-songwriter, Brightr. “We had just got back from tour and in a way the song related to how we all felt afterwards watching a good friend drive off in that big red postal van knowing that regular life could not be as exciting and fulfilling as the last 10 days had been,” Lewis continues, offering a bittersweet take on both the track and video.

Yet with an appearance at Strugglefest in Glasgow scheduled for the 10th October, and a trip to BOOK YER ANE FEST IX, there appears to be plenty more opportunity for excitement for the sun-soaked Scots in the very near future.

Listen to Veto.’s split with Brightr via BandCamp, from which ‘Red Granite’ is taken.
