Playlist: The Skints choose their top 5 party anthems

By Ben Tipple

Capdown provided us with their top party anthems at the weekend to celebrate the imminent Jagermeister UK Music Tour, featuring joint headliners The Skints and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Not to be outdone, London ska, dub, punk hybrids The Skints have selected the top five tracks that get any celebration going.

“Our top 5 party tracks are not necessarily the coolest, most exclusive tracks. They’re songs that make the party kick off,” the band explain. We expect that these five might be played at various stages throughout the four date tour – completed by Feed The Rhino and Animal Music. In typical The Skints style, it’s all a little bit eclectic. Why not, eh? We are partying after all.

Hear the tracks and read why The Skints have them ready at the push of a button. Catch the tour at the following locations over the next few days.

Mr Vegas – ‘Heads High’

Everyone knows it and everyone goes “oohhhhhhhh!!!!!” when it comes on. Just what you want from a party tune.

Arrested Development – ‘People Everyday’

Every single part of this song has been expertly crafted to kick off in the party. Definitely a summer jam, but when it’s this good I don’t think anyone’s complaining.

Mary Jane Girls – ‘All Night Long’

It’s in the title right? One from my parents’ record box of parties gone by, I still bang this one when the time is right.

DJ Luck & MC Neat – ‘Little Bit of Luck’

This song was played at every single party I went to in my high school years. It was an “old school classic” then! Has stood the partying test of time I believe.

Cameo – ‘Candy’

You said party songs, right?
