Watch the new Brightr video

“On the 7th March we flew out to Lucerne, Switzerland for a one off show with some awesome friends. This video essentially documents the day…from the painfully early 4am rise, to the beautifully surreal statue/model/thing that stands by Lake Lucerne and looks alarmingly like a phallus.” So says Laurie Cottingham, the singer-songwriter and instrumentalist behind emo outfit Brightr when discussing their new video, ‘Sleight Of Hand’.

“The song itself is about believing in ‘you’ and pushing forward to achieve things in your life no matter what anyone else or ‘the scene’ might say, because what is life without a little emotional irrationality followed by bad/good decisions…it’s boring isn’t it,” he continues.

The video for ‘Sleight of Hand’ sees Brightr showcase his more jovial side, following the animated ‘We’. Both tracks are taken from their self-titled debut EP, available now via BandCamp.
