Watch the new video by metalers Agelast

Plymouth metal meets hardcore five-piece Agelast are not strangers to the scene. Featuring members and former members of Brotherhood Of The Lake, Moorhaven and Ahutra, the band are tearing into their second single ‘Forget Faith’. The track demonstrates their affinity to the likes of The Ghost Inside and Misery Signals, mixing metalcore with some hearty atmospherics.

“We’re incredibly proud of ‘Forget Faith’ both as a piece of music, and now also as a music video,” vocalist Robert Clark explains. “I think it really highlights where we’re going as a band and shows a real maturity in our song writing.”

“Whatever we write is always going to be heavy, melodic and somewhat technical, and I just feel like ‘Forget Faith’ encapsulates all of these things perfectly, and that’s why we chose it as a single.”

“The lyrics are basically about the feeling of freedom that can be reached by realising that you are the only one in control of your achievements and failures, and that religion/faith can hold you back from truly immersing yourself in your passions and ambitions. It’s essentially saying ‘take control and lose yourself in everything you do’.”

“The video was directed by the immensely talented John Bradburn and we honestly couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out. We had seen John’s recent work with some really big name bands and I had the pleasure of working with him in my old band. He really was the only choice and we were over the moon when he agreed to work with us,” Clark concludes.

‘Forget Faith’ is taken from Agelast’s forthcoming ‘Hypersomnia’ EP, due later in the year via Hope Lost Records. Watch the video for ‘Forget Faith’ exclusively below.
