Watch the new video from Dream State

By Glen Bushell

We all know Ireland’s pedigree when it comes to great music. Now, Never Meant Records has pulled together talent from all four corners of The Emerald Isle for a four-way split release titled ‘Four Corners’. Among the bands featured is Dream State from Galway, and today we are bringing you a first look at their new video for their contribution ‘Mustered’.

“The 4 way split is a collaborative release of four friends that wanted to help each other out and be creative at the same time” says Dream State vocalist Jack Wright. “We’re all heavily influenced by a strong DIY ethic despite playing quite different music under the punk umbrella, we wanted to put that to record and share a unique experience. My offering for the release is about working through obstacles in a relationship and being all the better because of it!”

The track itself does display a softer side of Dream States energetic sound, but also a huge growth from this young band. Along with the other bands that appear on the ‘Four Corners’ split – Limerick’s Anna’s Anchor, Wicklow’s Hostile Smiles and Cork’s Míde Houlihan, it shows that the talent coming out of Ireland shows no signs of slowing down.

Dream State will join the rest of the bands featured on the split for a brief tour this month, and limited edition physical copies of ‘Four Corners’ are available now from Never Meant Records. Dates for the shows can be seen below, as well as the fantastic new video.
