Watch the new video from Miss Vincent

By Glen Bushell

Every day we are reminded of just how good the underground music scene in the UK is. Todays reminder comes courtesy of moody punks Miss Vincent, as we bring you the first play of their new video for ‘You Can’t Spell Blame Without ME’.

“It is the final track off our new EP and it’s actually the last song we wrote for it too” says guitarist/vocalist Lawrie Pattison of the track. “Recording it was a little strange for us because it was the only song we hadn’t played live, so it took shape purely in the practice room and the studio, but once it was finished we were blown away by the result. We totally let rip on the last chorus and it’s probably our favourite moment of the entire EP. It’s also a very personal song, about looking at things in your life that are out of your control but that you still blame yourself for”.

Channelling that minor-key sound in a similar vein to Alkaline Trio and Bayside, but with a distinctly British twang too it, Miss Vincent wrap a bleak shroud around the infectious hooks that draw you into ‘You Can’t Spell Blame Without ME’. They are also proud of their achievements so far, which is echoed in the video as it shows everything the band have done in the past year to get to where they are now.

Miss Vincent released their ‘Reasons Not Sleep’ EP earlier this year via Engineer Records, and you can pick it from their webstore now. The band will also be on start a small run of shows at the end of the month, which you can see the dates for below, as well as see the video for ‘You Can’t Spell Blame Without ME’.
