Canadian rockers Sumo Cyco have their sights firmly set on the UK. Having made waves back home with a series of horror themed videos for their instantly catchy melodic metal inspired rock, which saw them receive a grant by the Canadian government to complete an album, Sumo Cyco are now preparing to unleash ‘Lost In Cyco City’ worldwide.
Their latest video for ‘Fighter’ continues their B-movie Cyco City saga, opening with vocalist Sever battling a giant robot in a cardboard city. In a recent interview with Punktastic, Sever admitted to painstakingly putting the set together herself in their rehearsal space.
The track showcases their blend of melodic rock and metal, and at times draws influence from the likes of Skindred. There’s also a hint of Gwen Stefani in Sever’s impressive vocals.
