We Are The Ocean are back. Having taken time away from the limelight following extensive touring of 2012’s ‘Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow’, the four-piece returned last month with new single, ‘Ark’. The new track continues their transition from heavy post-hardcore to a bolder, rockier outfit – one that has seen them take to bigger stages and welcome increased airplay.
Dr Martens picked them up for their recent #STANDFORSOMETHING tour, on which they performed at the intimate Shipping Forecast in Liverpool. With ‘Ark’ ramping up the grandiose side of their music, it’s unlikely We Are The Ocean will be playing in a venue of that size any time soon.
The 2014 #STANDFORSOMETHING tour showcases some of the most exciting alternative talent in the world with shows from Funeral For A Friend and Eagulls having already taken place and three shows still to come including Los Campesinos, Tonight Alive and the soon to be announced London headliners!
