It has come to PT’s attention that there is a new and rather lovely way to listen to Punk, Ska and Hardcore at any time, day or night. OK, there are ways of doing that already, but a dedicated radio station has been started by the guys who have, for a while now, run Punkaholics Anonymous Radio Show. It’s now a whole station.
Their mission is to give airtime to smaller bands, and bring them closer to the audience. Shows are always from 5pm to 7pm and here is the daily schedule:
Monday – Monday Blues – Chill out Blues
Tuesday – Hardcore Matinee – Fist raising Hardcore
Wednesday – DIY-O-CLOCK – All the best DIY from the UK and the World
Thursday – Thursday Takeover Show – “Open Mic Night” show where people can send their 2 hour shows to be aired
Friday – ROOKIE – The guilty pleasures show, with special guests dishing out their secret pleasures music wise.
Friday – Classic Punk Soiree – Alternates with ROOKIE – Classic Punk tracks from the ages
Saturday – The Skaturday Evening Show – Ska, Ska and Ska
Sunday – Punkaholics Anonymous Show – The program that started it all, and brings the ShowcaseUK hour and the Punk World Tour.
During the day there is a continuous jukebox.
