Submitted: Fall Out Boy‘s Pete Wentz tells Rolling Stone that he and singer Patrick Stump are currently working on new tracks for the band’s next album. “Patrick’s obviously been writing all the music, and the words haven’t even really come in yet,” Wentz says. “I’ll go over to Patrick’s house and he’ll just sit there and play songs, and I’ll be like, ‘Ah, that one’s awesome!’” Wentz also stated that he wishes the band could have started writing new tracks earlier, but their recent cover of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” got in the way. “I’m psyched to write new songs,” he says. “‘Beat It’ took off a little bit and that kind of stalled out our label and stuff like, ‘We gotta film a video for this.’ We weren’t in the right headspace to write songs before.”
