Glasto go for 2005 – but will sit out in ’06

Taken from NME.com: “GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL has been granted a licence – but it’s likely to be the last until 2007. At a hearing last night, the festival were granted a licence so the event can go ahead in June this year. However, organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed rumours that he will take a year out in 2006, so as to give the local residents a break. He told BBC News he wanted to “stand back and get new ideas” for 2007.”
