Hundred Reasons added to Banquet’s Big Day Out

By Tom Aylott

We were worried after the collapse of Sonisphere 2012 at Knebworth that Hundred Reason’s plans for the year were scuppered – thankfully we’ve been proved wrong!

Hundred Reasons will play ‘Ideas Above Our Station’ at BBDO, with DJ Zinc also being added today with MC Lars, Jon 1st, Katie Malco, Jamie Thorn, Gavin Osborn, Tronik, Sue S, Big Sam, Sauce DJs, Young Romance and Waxworks. Kids In Glass Houses, Deaf Havana, Wheatus and more are already playing, so it’s proving to be very tempting already!

Banquet’s Big Day Out takes place on June 4th at Imber court in East Molesey, and tickets are just £20 til May 4th (£25 after).

HR said the following on their website earlier about the summer:

“HI! Starting with this, we’re going to do some shows and at those shows we’ll be playing Ideas Above Our Station (and maybe some other stuff, depending on how long our set is).

The shows will be announced when they can be announced and they will almost definitely disappoint some people because they’re not in [LocationX]. We can’t tour because of individuals’ availability and that limited availability makes it easier to do shows down south. Sorry in advance. In the summer, they will mainly be festival shows. Festivals we like, run by good people.

Also in the summer, Jo Birch (he was in Hell Is For Heroes, you know) will be playing drums for us because Andrew David Bews has to work. In the winter, there’ll be a special thing with Bewsy and then that will be it for the foreseeable future.

Mr Paul Townsend is returning to play guitar and sing throughout. We are immensely super-pleased about this.

The aim is to do all of this justice, which we will be trying our damnedest to do. So, hesitate no longer – grab a ticket (that Banquet fest is CHEAP) and let’s party like it’s 2002 or something.

H*R x”
