And the MxPx tour cancellation rumbles on, here is a statement from the band’s ‘management’ as to why the dates were cancelled: “While it is true that there were dates for Europe posted on the MxPx Tour page, those dates were somehow posted prematurely and we apologize for that. The tour was almost confirmed and then we got news that some of the promoters were shuffling dates and venues to avoid conflict with other tours going through Europe at the same time. ie: Green Day, Good Charlotte. The end result was that the MxPx tour got longer and longer with big holes in the schedule.. It had come to the point where it was going to interfere with the time scheduled for the band to record the new record due out mid 2005. Management made the decision to postpone Europe and is hoping to have it rescheduled for late Winter or Spring of 2005. It is unlikely that many of these shows had tickets on sale yet, but in the event that you have purchased tickets, please contact the location where you purchased them and request a refund. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment that this mishap has caused anyone and would like to reemphasize that, except in this particular case, “it isn’t official until announced on mxpx.com”
