After announcing earlier this year that they’ll soon be calling it quits/going on indefinite hiatus, San Francisco band Nothington have announced their upcoming final record. Being released on 9 November, the 7” single, titled ‘Bird Party,’ will be a split with fellow Bay Area band, Swingin’ Utters. Nothington’s last song will be, ‘Covering My Tracks,’ while Swingin’ Utters contribute their song, ‘Shout It At Dem Culture.” Nothington guitarist/vocalist Chris Matulich said, “Don’t be bummed this is our last song because, hey, we get to do a split with Swingin’ Utters! So stoked!”
The record is being released by Red Scare Industries, and will be available on digital platforms (iTunes, Spotify) and is available for preorder from Red Scare here.
Nothington have also announced their final UK and European tour dates. They’ll be appearing throughout the month of November in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Italy. After this tour, there will only be a few final farewell shows in 2019, so Matulich invites fans to come hang.
