Ozma keyboad/flute player Star Wick has been injured in a car crash, following an accident on Tuesday evening.
The band’s drummer Pat Edwards posted the following message on Ozma‘s web site:
Greetings from Boise, Idaho. While we are very excited to be here making new friends and are looking forward to tomorrow’s first show of the Vans Warped Tour, we are at the moment sadly without our keyboardist Star Wick.
“[On] Tuesday night she was a passenger in a car accident. She suffered whiplash and bruising in addition to a tear in her cornea (as result of contact lens complications when the airbag was inflated).
“She underwent eye surgery today, which was a success,
and is home in southern California recovering. At the
time it is still unknown when exactly she will join us on tour.
“Daniel, Ryen, Jose and I wish her and her friends a quick recovery. Derek Grant of the Alkaline Trio has on short notice generously offered to fill in on the Casio. He was already familiar with the Ozma repertoire, and with a little practice tonight and tomorrow morning we expect to be in full rocking effect by set time.”
