R.E.M. have announced that they will be releasing a deluxe edition of their seminal 1992 eighth album, ‘Automatic for the People’.

Commemorating the record’s twenty-fifth anniversary, the expanded four disc reissue features previously unreleased material, including twenty never before heard demos from the album’s recording sessions. This includes previously unreleased songs ‘Devil Ride Backwards’ and ‘Mike’s Pop Song’, the latter of which you can hear below. It will be released on the 10th November via Craft Recordings.

Additionally, the legendary alt rockers have released a trailer for the release, which you can check out below.

Originally forming in Athens, Georgia in 1980, R.E.M. were credited as being one of the first alternative rock bands. They released a plethora of albums, singles, EPs, and live albums until they called it quits in 2011.
