Christian punks Hangnail have split up. The band sent an email to zines and their mailing list stating the following: “There are multiple reasons for the band breaking up, but the main issue is that the members of the band are moving in different directions with their lives, their music, and their spirituality. This is not a subtle development. This is something that the band has been discussing for at least the last four months and something that has been talked about long before. Different members have different feelings about the whole situation, and I’m sure that different members would have different things to say about why its happening. But the important thing is that it is a mutual decision and friendships are still intact.” The band will still release their new record ‘Transparent’ this summer and may even record a live album too.
